Eating In A Calorie Deficit
There's two ways of eating in a calorie deficit - content and in control vs hungry and haphazard.
I am a big believer in sharing knowledge and educating my clients on how to be in control of a calorie deficit.
There's a common myth that you just need to reduce your portion sizes and while that might work, it often results in you feeling hungry and giving in to cravings.
That's why I teach my clients:
How to add MORE food into their diet to satisfy their hunger and what kinds of foods they can eat to do this
why protein will help them feel fuller for longer
the importance of fibre to aid digestion and keep those feelings of fullness
how to eat all the foods you enjoy including eating out, socialising and factoring in chips and ice cream
the importance of other factors like sleep, water intake and hormones and the impact on cravings
You really don't need to cut out whole food groups, rely on willpower alone and restrict the foods you enjoy to stay in a calorie deficit.
I love to teach my clients the alternative way and help them get the results they deserve without the process being miserable. Remember: our number 1 goal is always giving you a plan that is sustainable for life.

How An Abundance Mindset Can Help In Hardtimes
Abundance Mindset vs. Scarcity Mindset
We all know that mindset is important.
How you think about things determines which road you will travel.
An abundance mindset allows you to feel grateful, embrace change, think BIG, stay positive in hard circumstances, and believe that there is “plenty to go around”.
A scarcity mindset can create a negative reaction to things, lead you to blame circumstances and other people when things get hard, create limitations in the mind, and carries the belief that there are limited opportunities, resources, relationships, love, and wealth in the world.
When you have an abundant mindset, you understand that change is part of life and you can appreciate the fact that change leads to more positive outcomes.
If you can understand this and be grateful, you will do more things that move you and others around you forward.
On the flip side, if you are plagued by a scarcity mindset and negative thinking, you will spend your time constantly complaining about change instead of actually using change to create the life that you want.
I’m not saying it is easy, but sometimes good things grow out of hard times.

Positive affirmations in stressful times
We are in this together
How do we practice gratitude and abundance when we feel stressed or overwhelmed?
Affirmations are a simple and proven way to rewire our brains.
Much like exercise feeds our bodies, affirmations feed our brain positivity.
Ever hear the saying, "We are what we think"?
This means that your life is dictated largely by your thoughts.
But recognizing this is just the first step. You must then translate those thoughts into words - and then into actions.
Here are some positive affirmation examples you can try today:
“Today, I am content and calm.”
“I am blessed with so many talents that I will use today.”
“My body is healthy, my mind is strong, and my soul is content.”
“My thoughts are filled with positivity and thankfulness today.”
“I radiate positivity, kindness, and encouragement.”
I encourage you to come up with your own affirmations that fit your life and try saying a couple out loud now.

Vegan Protein Cookies
I just love these healthy protein cookies and had to share
Ingredients:
1 can chickpeas rinsed & drained
1 banana
1/4 cup PB
1tsp vanilla
1 scoop cinnamon protein powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
Maple syrup & or coconut sugar to taste (I only do about 2 tbsp because the banana & protein powder adds sweetness)
Instructions:
1)Blend on “dough” setting of your food processor
2)Lick the spoon
3)Roll ‘em, shape ‘em, bake ‘em for 8-10 minutes at 170c
4)Try not to eat them all right away
Vegan, gluten free, decent protein, yet still tasty as
